About the Author

Ardakh Nurgaz is a Kazakh poet, essayist, dramaturge and critic. His previous poetry collections include A Book of Pseudo Freedoms (2009) and A Collection of Humming Birds (in Chinese and Kazakh, 2012). Nurgaz has also published a collection of literary criticism, On Modern Kazakh Poetry (2010) and a collection of short fiction, Tanym mentalgam (Horizontal Strokes and Dots) (2018).
