[A] bruising, brilliant play Evening Standard. An exceptionally talented writer whose work combines gaming, mafia thrillers and sci-fi in arrestingly idiosyncratic dialogue, Pomona is an unnerving, gripping mix of urban nightmare and thriller (Guardian). It is a fierce dystopian drama with a comic edge and a blend of naturalism and surrealism (Observer). Praised for its compelling creepiness and wit, McDowall's play marks him as a fast-rising playwright to watch (Independent, The Times).
