Set in the 18th century, The Knights of Heliopolis follows Seventeen, a disciple nearing the end of his training within a secretive monastery in Northern Spain. This sanctuary harbours the immortal Knights of Heliopolis, alchemists bound by ancient codes. When Seventeen's master reveals his true heritageβ€”as the concealed son of King Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinetteβ€”the young heir faces a monumental choice: seize the throne or remain loyal to the timeless tenets of alchemy. Alejandro Jodorowsky masterfully transforms a famed French myth into a sweeping esoteric fable.
