Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 22 by Akira Toriyama continues the exhilarating adventures of Goku and his friends in this action-packed and thrilling instalment. In the aftermath of Goku's victory over the nefarious Boo, peace has been restored on Earth, leading to a tranquil yet predictably monotonous life for our protagonist. However, the tranquillity is short-lived as new threats emerge, compelling Goku and his comrades to leap into action once again to defend their beloved planet.

In this volume, Piccolo embarks on a covert mission, infiltrating the Red Ribbon Army's secretive base to unveil their latest sinister plot. The Red Ribbon Army has enlisted the aid of Dr. Hedo, a brilliant but naive scientist and grandson of the infamous Dr. Gero. Using deceit and manipulation, they have convinced Dr. Hedo that they are saviours of the world, while persuading him that Capsule Corp., Goku, and their allies are in fact the villains.

Under this false pretense, Dr. Hedo contributes to creating formidable androids, including Cell Max, an even more destructive version of the original Cell. With these powerful new creations, the Red Ribbon Army's plan to conquer the world edges closer to reality. To set their scheme into motion, they hatch a devious plot to kidnap Gohan's daughter Pan, using her as bait to lure Gohan into their trap.

The stakes are higher than ever as Goku, Gohan, and the rest of their allies must confront these new, formidable foes and uncover the truth behind the Red Ribbon Army's deceptive plans. Will they be able to thwart these new threats and save the Earth once more?

Akira Toriyama's signature blend of high-stakes action, heartfelt moments, and intricate storytelling ensures that Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 22 is an unmissable continuation of this legendary series. Fans old and new will be captivated by the relentless pace and unexpected twists that define this latest chapter in Goku's epic saga.
