Saving Neverland
A magical, modern and adventurous reimagining of the much-loved classic, from one of today's most exciting children's writers.
This is an adventure story, complete with winterwolves and moonpaper maps, in which a young boy journeys through a frozen Neverland to break Captain Hook's curse. But it is also a story about what it means to be young and fearless and full of hope. All of us must grow up one day, but this is a book that champions the art of growing down...
Milo is eleven, and desperate to grow up. That, he is sure, is when life will really begin.
When he and his family move into a new house, and his younger sister Scruff discovers some mysterious gold dust in the attic, along with a bedroom window that seems impossible to close, it's the start of a strange and incredible adventure to a magical world. Milo's house used to belong to another family - the Darlings - who once visited this world themselves. Now Neverland needs Milo and Scruff to rescue it from a terrible curse - cast long ago by Captain Hook himself...
Milo and Scruff are swept to Neverland and into the company of the Lost Girls, and as he fights to save this world - and his sister - Milo learns that what he has been so desperate for might have been inside him all along.
