If you're looking for the next magical adventure story that will entertain your young teen readers (or yourself!), Dreamslinger is the first in an exciting new series by local author Graci Kim, set to release on April 29th.
I'll let Graci introduce herself:
“Kia ora! My name is Graci Kim. I'm a local writer based in Auckland, and I'm the author of the Gifted Clans series (The Last Fallen Star, The Last Fallen Moon, The Last Fallen Realm).
I have a new series starter coming out in April this year, called Dreamslinger, and when people ask me what it's about, I usually give them this one-liner: "Think X-Men meets Pokémon, set in a Korean magic school". I reckon readers who enjoyed Nevermoor, Harry Potter, Keeper of the Lost Cities, or any books about dragons, dreams, or magic will enjoy it.
And while it's geared for readers aged 8-12 years old, it's for grown-up kids too!"
To get a taste of what this series will be like, Graci has very kindly gifted us some sampler packs containing a free 6-chapter sampler of Dreamslinger, a signed bookplate sticker, a bookmark, maps, a palace-Dreampanion guide, an insignia sticker, collector cards, and a letter from Graci herself!
