Dummies Month is one of those times when booksellers really go all in, with big creativity, strong campaigns, and plenty of standout moments both in-store and online.

How Book Hero Won Best Social Media During Dummies Month 2026

Dummies Month 2026 was stacked with creativity. Bookstores went all out, from incredible window displays to full in-store takeovers. But while plenty of that magic lived in-store, we took things online and ran with it.

And it paid off. Book Hero picked up Best Social Media.

Instead of just posting about Dummies Month, we made it feel alive online. We shared behind-the-scenes moments, ran fun giveaways, and actually talked with our audience instead of at them. The whole approach was simple. Keep it real, keep it engaging, and make people want to be part of it.

People showed up. They commented, shared, entered giveaways, and got involved. It felt less like a campaign and more like a community moment, which is exactly what we were aiming for.
