Journalist Kate Aitken leaves New York for a fresh start in California and a new job: working as an archivist for the estate of the famed photographer Miranda Brand, who died under mysterious circumstances some decades earlier. Miranda’s son, Theo, has returned to the family home after his father’s death and needs Kate to organise his mother’s work alongside the chaos of her personal effects.

As Kate delves deeper into the material, a picture begins to form of a vibrant artist struggling beneath the weight of ambition, motherhood, and marriage. However, Kate harbours secrets of her own, including a burgeoning attraction to the enigmatic Theo. Her curiosity intensifies dangerously upon discovering Miranda’s diary.

Take Me Apart is a darkly seductive tale of two magnetic women trapped by secrets and lies. It offers a chilling, thought-provoking exploration of art, illness, and power from a spellbinding new voice in psychological suspense.
