It's normal to feel a little lost on your first day of school! Luckily, you're not alone... follow the story of this young boy as he meets a classroom full of friendly faces waiting to welcome him.

A gently humorous, reassuring story about starting school and the ripple effect of kindness.

It's a young boy's very first day at school and he's feeling a little lost. Where should he put his coat? Who should he sit with at lunch? Luckily, a classroom full of friendly faces is ready to welcome him, and before long he's feeling right at home.

In gentle, reassuring rhyme, award-winning author Mark Sperring weaves a tale to encourage children to notice and care for others, especially if they're feeling a little alone or out of place. Meanwhile, Marisa Morea's lively illustrations add humour and warmth to every page — watch out for the joyful, tail-wagging surprise at the end!

Perfect for fans of The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig and Patrice Barton, Starting School by Janet and Allen Ahlberg and First Day at Bug School by Sam Lloyd. This book is sure to spread the warm, fuzzy feeling of belonging.
