No Time for Fear: How a shark attack survivor beat the odds
IMPROVISE. ADAPT. OVERCOME. These three words the mantra of the Australian Army resonated with Paul de Gelder the first time he heard them. But trouble hunted him down in the form of a brutal shark in February 2009. His inspiring story takes 'never say die' to a whole new level.
No Time for Fear: How a Shark Attack Survivor Beat the Odds by Paul de Gelder is an inspiring tale of resilience and determination. Paul de Gelder embraced the mantra of the Australian Army: Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. These words became pivotal to his life journey.
Paul sought adventure in every corner of his life, transforming from a rebellious teen with a penchant for trouble into a member of the elite defence forces. However, in February 2009, his life took a dramatic turn when he was attacked by a brutal shark, resulting in the loss of two limbs and threatening his career as a navy clearance diver.
Despite the immense challenges, Paul drew on his life's experiences and left nothing to chance in his recovery. He endured excruciating pain and faced each challenge head-on, impressing medical staff with his unyielding determination and will to succeed.
In No Time for Fear, Paul de Gelder shares his remarkable journey, taking the phrase 'never say die' to an entirely new level, demonstrating that with resilience and courage, the impossible can be achieved.
