The Legend of Korra: Mystery of Penquan Island (Nickelodeon: Avatar...
The Legend of Korra: Mystery of Penquan Island takes us on an adventurous journey with Mako and Bolin as they head to Penquan Island in the Fire Nation. Their quest is to solve a mysterious case while discovering fragments of their past along the way.
A strange missing persons case lands in Mako's hands, forcing him to decide between his duty and his sense of justice. An untidy crime scene and an uncooperative witness make for a rocky start to the investigation. However, when Bolin stumbles upon a surprising clue that connects their mother to the case, the duo sets off to the small, rustic island of Penquan.
The island's residents seemingly harbour secrets, but Mako and Bolin are determined to uncover the truthβeven if it means confronting uncomfortable truths about their family's history.
This graphic novel is penned by the Eisner-nominated Kiku Hughes, known for Displacement, and illustrated by artists Alex Monik, famed for The Legend of Korra: Patterns in Time, and Diana Sousa, noted for Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins. The creators worked in collaboration with "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra" co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, ensuring a compelling addition to the beloved series.
