About the Author

Cara Natterson is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has treated thousands of children and guided their parents as well. She is committed to giving kids the tools to maximize their health, so she speaks regularly on the topic and teaches human growth and development to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders at her local schools. Cara is a graduate of Harvard College and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and trained in pediatrics at the University of California at San Francisco. She lives in California with her husband and two children, and she is thrilled to be a part of the American Girl family!
