Flint Institute of Art explores the treasures of the Flint Institute of Arts, the second largest art museum in the state of Michigan and one of the largest museum-connected community art schools in the United States. For nearly 100 years, the FIA has been dedicated to acquiring, protecting, and presenting a diverse collection of art and artefacts from around the world.
The world-renowned collection, which exceeds 9,700 objects, is notable for its significant European and American paintings and sculptures, ranging from the 15th century to the present. Additionally, the institute boasts extensive holdings of decorative and applied arts dating back five millennia.

About the Author
Tracee Glab is the Executive Director at the Flint Institute of Arts in Flint, Michigan. Her museum experience includes overseeing more than 100 exhibitions and more than 15 publications as the FIA's Curator of Collections and Exhibitions. Prior to Flint, she worked for 10 years at the Detroit Institute of Arts in various departments.
