Description
The Goldsmith and the Master Thief by Tonke Dragt tells the adventurous tale of Laurenzo and Jiacomo, identical twins so alike that no one can tell them apart. This uncanny similarity comes in handy for playing tricks on their teachers, and nothing seems able to split them up.
However, tragedy strikes their carefree young lives, forcing them to carve out their own paths in the world. Hardworking Laurenzo chooses to craft beautiful objects from gold and silver, while fearless Jiacomo decides to travel, explore, and become an unlikely thief. These choices set off a series of incredible escapades that test their limits.
As they journey through life, the twins encounter terrible danger, solve cunning riddles, become prisoners in a castle, sail across the ocean, and experience the highs and lows of love. Their adventures also take them to an enchanted inn and involve them in saving a priceless pearl. Amazingly, they even become kings by mistake.
With all the challenges they face, Laurenzo and Jiacomo must use their talents, wiles, and wisdom to survive. Are you ready to join them on this thrilling journey?
