Garbage Pail Kids, a series of collectible stickers produced by Topps, were designed to parody the overly saccharine Cabbage Patch Kids, a toy doll fad in the 1980s. This outrageous series was the brainchild of legendary cartoonist Art Spiegelman, who, in collaboration with artists Mark Newgarden, John Pound, Tom Bunk, Jay Lynch, and James Warhola, created a pop-culture phenomenon.
Garbage Pail Kids features all 206 rare and hard-to-find images from Series 1 through 5, as well as a set of four all-new bonus stickers created especially for the 40th anniversary. One of the backlist staples of the ComicArts list, Garbage Pail Kids is guaranteed to appeal to die-hard collectors as well as a new generation of fans.
