Authors: Tansy Wilson is based in Somerset, UK, and has twenty years of experience in the craft industry. She teaches jewellery design at her local Further Education College. Tansy is a regular contributor to GMC's magazines and has also had books published by GMC Publications.

Sian Hamilton has been a designer for over twenty years and holds a BA (Hons) in 3D Design. Introduced to sewing by her grandmother, who was a seamstress, Sian started sewing clothes for herself in her teenage years before progressing to making custom wedding dresses for clients early in her career. She is the author of several books on jewellery making and sewing from GMC Publications and currently lives in Camberley, UK.

Tansy and Sian met at university while studying for a BA in 3D Design. They have both been in the design industry for over 25 years and have collaborated on many magazine and book projects within the craft sector. Together, they aim to combine their creative ideas to introduce a range of simple craft skills to a wider audience. They have also co-authored Macrame and Air-Dry Clay.
