My Hero Academia, Vol. 12 by Kohei Horikoshi continues the thrilling journey of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy who inherits the superpower of the world's greatest hero. In a world where 80 percent of the population possesses unique abilities known as "Quirks," society has been divided into heroes and villains, each battling for supremacy. As aspiring heroes, students must learn to harness their powers, and there's no better place to do this than U.A. High School, the prestigious Hero Academy. However, Midoriya faces an additional challenge, as he started his journey Quirkless, one of the rare few without powers. Now, with the responsibility of wielding the power of All Might, the legendary hero, Midoriya strives to become the next symbol of peace. Class 1-A is given a new and exhilarating challenge—to develop their ultimate moves. This process demands intense training, pushing students to test the limits of their strength and creativity like never before. Enter Mei Hatsume, a brilliant student from the Support Course known for her innovative designs. Hatsume collaborates with the students to enhance their hero costumes, providing them with cutting-edge gear to refine their abilities. Yet, the pressure intensifies as Midoriya and his classmates face the looming Provisional Licensing Exam. This critical hurdle will determine their readiness to become licensed heroes capable of real-world heroics. The attention from Mei, teeming with her energetic and somewhat eccentric assistance, pushes Midoriya to his limits. He must utilise every improvement and strategy to surpass the strenuous trials ahead. My Hero Academia, Vol. 12 is packed with intense action, innovative strategies, and the unwavering determination of young heroes in training. It's a pivotal point in the series, exploring themes of growth, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of one’s dreams in a superpowered society.
