Almark, Vol. 2 (novel)

It's Almark, Vol. 2's first summer vacation at the Norkh Institute for Magic. This is when most students go home to their families, except for Almark, who hails from the distant North, and Morgan, whose parents are preoccupied.

When their friend Wendy invites them to her estate in the capital, the two boys gladly accept! Shortly afterward, however, Wendy sends them a letter saying she's had to flee further north because of threats to her family.

Undaunted, Almark decides to make the trek anyway. But en route, he and Morgan learn of a plot against Wendy's life by several Northern mercenaries. Do they have what it takes to rescue their beloved classmate?!
