Capitalism's Crisis Deepens by Richard Wolff challenges the mainstream belief that the Great Recession's crisis has passed. Through a series of essays, Wolff explores the severe downturns in traditional capitalist centres, the uneven growth in emerging ones, and the re-emergence of a global speculative bubble. His accessible style invites readers to understand this crisis as an ongoing phase in capitalism's evolution rather than a temporary episode.

While most mainstream commentators view the crisis that provoked the Great Recession as having passed, these essays from Richard Wolff paint a far less rosy picture. Drawing attention to the extreme downturn in most of capitalism's old centres, the unequal growth in its new centres and the resurgence of a global speculative bubble, Wolffโ€”in his uniquely accessible styleโ€”makes the case that the crisis should be grasped not as a passing moment, but as an evolving stage in capitalism's history.

Capitalism's Crisis Deepens presents Wolff's analysis with clarity, urging readers to consider the broader implications of ongoing economic instability. His insights challenge the notion of a resolved crisis and invite a deeper understanding of capitalism's persistent vulnerabilities.
