See morePerfecting your guitar playing ability by learning totality of movement.
Some guitarist try to learn the guitar by jumping straight into playing songs. Who doesn't want to start jamming to their favourite songs right away? While that approach may work for some players, many others struggle because they have not yet developed the finger control, fretboard familiarity, and movement needed to play smoothly and confidently. I personally experienced those frustrations myself.
This manual was created to help build those essential skills through focused, purposeful practice and repetition. With patience, dedication, and long hours of meaningful practice, the exercises in this manual can help develop the coordination, accuracy, and confidence needed to master your finger movements on the fretboard, thereby making you a stronger, more capable guitarist.
This manual contains Volume One and Two of the technique series. It is designed for the absolute beginner to intermediate player as a place to get started in your guitar playing journey or to give you a boost to improving your dexterity and range of motion.
These two volumes start off with the simplest of exercises, building upon those same exercises, thereby creating more complex shapes.
- You will develop memorisation of movements where they become second nature
- You will develop fluency of movement through repetition
- You will gain confidence in your abilities to traverse up and down the fretboard with precise movements
- And, you will develop a good technique that can be applied to most any style of music
- Apply these lessons to your playing and you will succeed.
