Poignant, often witty photographs by native Londoner Paul Anthony Scane that capture the hidden corners of the city and the people who live there.
Over the course of 15 years, native Londoner Paul Anthony Scane ventured out by bike and on foot to explore hidden corners of his city. Armed with four analogue cameras and an eye for the unusual, he captured moments often unseen by tourists.
London Unseen is a collection devoid of the typical tourist spots, instead highlighting places and people rarely in the spotlight: a campy drycleaner named "Go Gay", a double-decker bus seemingly manoeuvring a miniature golf course, and an abandoned tank in south London.
Largely in black and white, these poignant and often witty images capture the character and soul of the real London with genuine affection and curiosity.
London Unseen serves as a character study of a world metropolis, focusing on its people and streets, far from Big Ben and Trafalgar Square.
Text available in English and German.
