Gabriel Garcia Marquez was a Colombian novelist, short-story writer, screenwriter, and journalist. Reproduced here is a page from his 1967 novel One Hundred Years of Solitude alongside a representation of the Macondo jungle. On the back cover is a sketch of Marquez drawn by a fan from our own in-house team of artists.

Featuring a lively contemporary work by Japanese American artist Yuko Shimizu, this Lotus River design brings a touch of whimsy to the Paperblanks collection. This illustration on our cover was originally created for a 2015 issue of a specialized investment magazine with the intent to add a touch of creativity to the mundane.
