Kevin Cameron lived for television. From his early days as a cadet at NZBC to becoming Director of Sport at Sky Television, his career spanned the golden age of New Zealand broadcasting. Combining a love of sport and music, Kevin brought unforgettable events to life for viewers nationwide.
But their greatest story was their own. Teen sweethearts who reunited after nearly two decades apart, Jan and Kevin built a life together, balancing high-profile careers with a deep, unshakable bond. About the Author
Kevin Cameron has spent a lifetime in television, beginning his career in 1965 and rising to become Director of Sport at Sky New Zealand, where he played a key role in launching the channel and overseeing its sports coverage until his retirement in 2013. He later worked as a global consultant, collaborating on major events like the Rugby World Cups and Fijian Drua Super Rugby fixtures.
Kevin lives in Mangawhai Heads. He was married to Jan Cameron, an Olympic and Commonwealth Games medalist and one of Australasiaβs most successful swim coaches. Jan passed away in April 2018.
