Description

When Sunny's long-time gangster associate, Tony Marcus, approaches her for help, she is taken aback. Despite their recent fallout over a double-crossed deal, Tony believes Sunny owes him. Willing to clear the slate, Sunny considers his case.
Tony's trusted girlfriend and business partner has vanished suddenly, and he is at a loss as to why. He only wants to speak with her, he claims. Sunny, sceptical of Tony's good intentions, is nonetheless intrigued by the missing woman. Against all odds, she has achieved a position of power within Tony's criminal enterprise. Sunny admires her and, should the woman be in trouble, she wishes to assist.

Mike Lupica is a prominent sports journalist and the New York Times bestselling author of more than fourty works of fiction and non-fiction. A longtime friend to Robert B. Parker, he was selected by the Parker estate to continue the Spenser and Jesse Stone series.
