Formed 35 years ago, Blondie was the most successful rock act to emerge from New York's anarchic downtown punk scene. Debbie Harry, their multitalented and beautiful lead singer, became the most photogenic and photographed female rock performer of all time. Her "punk Marilyn Monroe" persona was never better celebrated than in Mick Rock's dynamic portfolio.

Author: Mick Rock's career was launched when he photographed an almost unknown David Bowie in 1972. The two established an instant rapport and Rock went on to direct several of Bowie's music videos.
