Three years; two cases; one desire. This is the fifteenth Harry Bosch book by no.1 internationally bestselling crime writer Michael Connelly.

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Harry Bosch is facing the end of the line at the LAPD. He's been put on the DROP—Deferred Retirement Option Plan—and has three years before his retirement is enforced.

Anxious to maximise his remaining time, Bosch is relieved when a rape and murder cold case gets a DNA hit pointing to a 29-year-old convicted rapist. Then a city councilman's son is found dead and the father insists on Bosch taking the case—despite their history of enmity.

Spiralling around each other like a DNA double helix, one case unearths a lead to a 30-year-hidden killer, while the other cracks open a political conspiracy that reaches deep into the shadowy history of the LAPD.

The Drop poses the question: what is it going to take to bring evil to justice?
