Description
Jeffrey Epstein. Harvey Weinstein. Bill Cosby. Peter Nygard.
With this book, the infamous hall of fame for billionaire sex predators has inducted another member.
Predator King by Melissa Cronin explores the dark legacy of Peter Nygard, the most famous and successful fashion designer you might never have heard of. A Finnish-Canadian dubbed the "polyester phenom" by Forbes, he amassed a nearly billion-dollar fortune selling fashion for those aged thirty-five and older. Retail giants like Dillard's, Sears, and Wal-Mart hailed him as a top provider, and he proudly maintained a massive flagship store in the heart of Times Square.
However, while constructing his fashion empire, Nygard allegedly wove a dark international web of sexual predation and corruption. Countless girls and women around the world claim that their lives were shattered by his actions.
As with many other high-profile cases, Nygard faces accusations of abusing his power, influence, and the allure of success to ensnare and exploit vulnerable young women.
Enticing them with the promise of an international modelling career, some victims—allegedly as young as fourteen—assert that Nygard lured them to his California beach house, his Canadian bachelor pad, and his sprawling Caribbean estate, only to subject them to unimaginable horrors.
