Lisa Carrington Rescues a Rascal follows Lisa and her family and friends as they embark on a camping adventure. During the trip, Lisa's dad takes them on a tramp, teaching them valuable bushcraft skills. The group is thrilled to learn map reading, using a compass, rock climbing, and safely crossing rivers.
As they all discover their own leadership abilities, they support the team in various ways, helping each member shine. Lisa, however, faces challenges. She finds some activities daunting and is initially scared to try them. But with the encouragement and suggestions from her team on how to calm her fear, Lisa begins to feel braver and more willing to tackle new experiences.
When Colin goes missing, Lisa becomes central to the rescue effort. It is then that she truly discovers her own leadership skills, proving to herself and others that she is capable of leading and contributing effectively to her team.
