Liana MacDonald is an Indigenous sociologist and Associate Professor of Maori, Moriori and Indigenous Peace Studies at Otakou Whakaihu Waka - University of Otago. Her research examines how racism, whiteness and settler colonialism take shape in national institutions, and how Maori and other Indigenous peoples resist and flourish regardless.
