Midoriya inherits the superpower of the world's greatest hero, but greatness won't come easy.

In a world where 80 percent of the population possesses superpowers known as "Quirks," the boundaries between heroes and villains blur as they clash relentlessly. Aspiring heroes must learn to harness these extraordinary abilities, and there's no better place for this education than U.A. High School, the prestigious Hero Academy. But what fate lies ahead for those who are Quirkless, the remaining 20 percent?

My Hero Academia, Vol. 8 sees the U.A. students confronting the practical portion of their final exams. Unbeknownst to them, these exams involve a daunting challenge: overcoming their own teachers in combat to pass. Midoriya finds himself paired with his fierce rival, Bakugo, as they face the ultimate test—battling the Symbol of Peace, All Might. Tensions run high as Midoriya grapples not only with cooperating with Bakugo but also with giving his all to outwit and overpower All Might. Is this trial more than he can endure? Meanwhile, in another arena, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki face their own harrowing ordeal.

As the students struggle to prove their mettle, a new and ominous threat looms on the horizon. This sinister adversary watches and waits, ready to make a move that could change everything.
