Midoriya inherits the superpower of the world’s greatest hero, but greatness won’t come easy.

My Hero Academia, Vol. 31 continues the thrilling saga of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they navigate the tumultuous world of heroes and villains. In a society where 80 percent of the population possesses unique abilities known as "Quirks," being a hero isn't just a title—it's a profession fraught with danger and responsibility. U.A. High School, the prestigious academy for aspiring heroes, becomes the battleground where these young heroes learn to harness their powers. But what happens to those who are among the 20 percent born Quirkless?

The volume picks up in the devastating aftermath of the battle in Jaku City, where heroes faced off against the formidable forces of evil. The battle has left the forces of good in disarray, with tremendous loss of life and a society on the brink of collapse. Although Midoriya and his friends have managed to fend off Tomura Shigaraki, the threat of All For One looms larger than ever, signalling only the beginning of even greater challenges.

Against this backdrop of chaos and uncertainty, the Todoroki family is compelled to confront the shadows of their troubled past. This family drama unfolds as Endeavour, the current No.1 hero, grapples with the sins of his past and seeks redemption—a journey that tests his family's bonds and their future.

For Midoriya, this volume marks a significant turning point in his journey to becoming the greatest hero. As he begins to delve deeper into the mysteries of his inherited power, One For All, Midoriya realises that unlocking his full potential is not just about physical strength but also about staying true to his convictions and understanding the true essence of heroism.

My Hero Academia, Vol. 31 by Kohei Horikoshi is a gripping continuation that weaves intense action, emotional drama, and profound character development. It's a must-read for fans who have been following Midoriya’s journey from the start, and for new readers, it's an electrifying introduction to a world where heroism is a way of life.
