Caverns follows McGill Feighan, a "flinger" who possesses the remarkable ability to teleport himself or anything else as far away as he can imagine, as long as he has been there before. With this power, he can travel across the universe in the blink of an eye.

However, McGill's life is not without complications. The Far Being, known as Retzglaran, has been interfering with McGill since his birth, serving as both the source of his powers and the reason for his persecution.

At just four days old, McGill became the target of an interstellar crime syndicate known as The Organization, which placed a contract on his life.

Why does the universe have a vendetta against him? Can he learn to control his powers well enough to survive the various beings who have taken an unhealthy interest in his existence?

As a young man, McGill embarks on an unguided quest for the Far Being. This journey takes him to the most fantastic worlds and introduces him to incredible alien species. It promises to be an exciting adventure... that is, if he can survive with the entire galaxy seemingly out to end him.
