About the Author
Amanda J. Rockinson, EdD, PhD, LPC, is a Professor and the Doctoral Program Coordinator for a learning design and technology program at the University of Memphis. Her research has focused on developing and investigating systems to support the psychosocial, social, academic, and vocational success of learners, focusing primarily on doctoral education and persistence; distance education and technological systems; and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Lucinda S. Spaulding, PhD, is a Professor of Special Education and the Director of Special Education Programs in the School of Professional and Applied Sciences at the University of Lynchburg. Dr. Spaulding peer reviews, publishes, and presents nationally and internationally on topics relating to inclusive education and factors associated with resilience and persistence in higher education.
Jill Alexa Perry, PhD, is Professor of Practice in the Educational Foundations, Organizations and Policy and the Executive Director of the Carnegie Project on the Educational Doctorate (CPED) at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on professional doctorate preparation in education, organizational change in higher education, and faculty leadership roles.
