Death and Boules

Death and Boules by Ian Moore brings readers back to Saint-Sauver, home to Richard Ainsworth and Valérie d'Orçay's detective agency. The town is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its twinning with Anglethorp Spa in Lincolnshire. Celebrations include a huge brocante, street parties, and, as the centrepiece, an exhibition boules tournament featuring teams from the two towns and international boules all-stars.

Everything appears to be going well: the sun shines, the wine flows, and the entente is very cordiale.

However, the festivities take a dark turn when the mayor is found dead in an antique dresser, having seemingly been killed twice. Richard and Valérie, with their differing perspectives, engage in their own personal battle to see who can solve the crime first.
