Jordan was Head of Classics and Senior Vice Principal of the Methodist College Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK; and editor of Virgil: Aeneid, Books II and X, and co-editor (with J.A. Harrison) of Homer: Iliad, Books I and VI (all published by Bloomsbury).
