Louis Sachar, author of Holes, praises Olive's gentle and humorous writing style that revives the lost art of storytelling, especially valuable in today's technology-driven world. Midwest Book Review highly recommends this book as a useful instructional reference for both parenting and writers seeking to craft original children's stories. Minnesota Playlist notes the vivid, lively, and theatrical quality of Olive's retellings that differentiate them from reading stories silently.
