The Weaver and the Witch Queen

The Weaver and the Witch Queen tells the story of Oddny and Gunnhild, who meet as children in tenth century Norway. Despite their differences—Oddny longs for a quiet life, while Gunnhild yearns for power and an escape from her cruel mother—a visiting wisewoman binds them together with an ominous prophecy involving Oddny, her sister Signy, and Gunnhild. They take a blood oath to support one another always.

When Oddny’s farm is destroyed and Signy is kidnapped by Viking raiders, Oddny is torn from the life she had imagined.
