The Weaver and the Witch Queen tells the story of Oddny and Gunnhild, who meet as children in tenth century Norway. Despite their differences—Oddny longs for a quiet life, while Gunnhild yearns for power and an escape from her cruel mother—a visiting wisewoman binds them together with an ominous prophecy involving Oddny, her sister Signy, and Gunnhild. They take a blood oath to support one another always.

When Oddny’s farm is destroyed and Signy is kidnapped by Viking raiders, Oddny is torn from the life she had imagined. Undeterred, she is resolute in her quest to rescue her sister, even as she becomes irresistibly drawn to one of the raiders involved in the attack. Meanwhile, far to the north, Gunnhild, who fled her home years ago to master the ways of a witch, finds her destiny unexpectedly linked to that of the formidable King Eirik, heir apparent to the ruler of all Norway.

The enchanted and emotional bonds that hold Oddny and Gunnhild together are strong, and as they find their way back to each other, these bonds are tested in ways they could never have foreseen. The Weaver and the Witch Queen is a deeply moving novel of magic, history, and sworn sisterhood.
