Dark Horse

Dark Horse follows the story of Imogen Duffy, a young Irish jockey whose fledgling career receives a monumental boost when she wins a prestigious horse race at the Cheltenham Steeplechasing Festival. However, her personal life is far from perfect. She has a violent and controlling boyfriend, also a jockey, who becomes increasingly jealous of her success.

Imogen attempts to end their relationship, but he won't take 'no' for an answer, threatening her life if she leaves him. For her safety, Imogen flees to England, hoping to escape her boyfriend and continue her riding career at a racing stable in Lambourn, where she finds growing success.

Her abusive boyfriend, undeterred, follows her across the Irish Sea. He stalks her, steals from her, attacks her again, and tries to destroy both her career and her reputation.

Imogen's desperate father seeks help from Sid Halley, who reluctantly agrees to investigate. However, Sid soon discovers that he too is being stalked and threatened. Will Sid be able to uncover the truth before it's too late?
