There are six culprits to catch in this puzzle book. Across six playful mysteries, such as Who snatched the last doughnut?, Who stole the sausages?, Who smashed granny’s favourite vase?, and Who hid the remote control?, readers must read the clues and eliminate the suspects one by one.

Each case contains the faces of almost 600 potential suspects, and somewhere in this sea of faces hides the offender. Each case provides the reader with 15 specific clues to sort the innocent from the guilty.

The mission is simple but requires careful skills of deduction:

Analyze the clues: From ‘I don’t have a moustache’ and ‘I have curly hair’ to ‘I have floppy ears’ and ‘I have four whiskers’, the reader is given everything they need to know to solve the case.

Eliminate the innocent: Methodically narrow down the suspects by stripping away those who do not fit the clues.

Catch the culprit: Find the one face that fits every single clue.

There are no red herrings or tricks in the story. This is a pure test of logic, observation, and deduction. Catch them all if you can.

About the Author

Dea Christabella is a Jakarta-based illustrator and graphic designer who loves creating playful worlds filled with curious characters and little details waiting to be discovered. Inspired by children's books, everyday adventures, and a strong resistance to growing old, her illustrations aim to spark imagination and bring a sense of joy to readers of all ages. She has worked on a wide range of projects, from editorial illustrations to packaging and branding, and is always happiest when making something fun. David Moxey is the founder of Moxey Creative, a full-service packaging agency that has worked with publishers across the globe for over 15 years. He loves getting hands-on with editorial and design, and art-directing illustrators to deliver stunning content for publishers. Over the course of his career, David has creatively driven the production of thousands of titles for publishers including Scholastic, OUP, CUP, Penguin, DK, Hachette, HarperCollins, Mayo Clinic, Michael O'Mara, and many more.
