A Little Emotional follows the journey of Tommy, whose favourite toy has gone missing. Along with the toy, Tommy's Happiness has vanished too. This loss causes him to become a little Worried, and then Angry. As he searches for the toy, this emotion escalates into Full-Blown Anger, eventually leading to an explosive outburst!

During his search, Tommy notices his little sister playing happily with her toys. This sight stirs feelings of Jealousy and Sadness within him. His shifting emotions manifest as colourful monsters that loom over him.
