Spirit-Led Bible Study will help you bring your time in the Bible back to life by teaching six foundational practices that you can apply to any passage of Scripture.

Each session of Spirit-Led Bible Study introduces one practice that you will incorporate into your small group and personal study time. You’ll learn the biblical foundation for that practice and then experience it three ways: watch Alli guide her small group through it, try it with your group, and then experiment on your own. This repetition will help you master each practice and awaken your Bible study experience, leading you to deeper faith and real connection with Jesus through his Word.

Video Sessions

1. Observation (36 minutes): Focusing on seeing and acknowledging what is present in the text without interpretation.
2. Listening (34 minutes): Participants are encouraged to approach Bible study as a “two-way conversation” with God, using the Word and community to discern the Spirit’s voice amidst life’s noise.
3. Orientation (40 minutes): By understanding details like who, where, and when, readers can grasp the fuller meaning and significance of scripture.
4. Prayer (39 minutes): This session introduces five types of prayer found in the Bible (Praise, Thank, Ask, Confess, Fight).
5. Context (40 minutes): Context involves examining the text in layers or "frames," including the immediate passage, its surrounding chapters, the entire book, its place in the Bible, and the cultural and historical background.
6. Action (40 minutes): Biblical teachings remind us that hearing God’s Word alone isn’t enough—we must actively practice it to build a strong, lasting foundation.
