Panton: Environments, Colours, Systems, Patterns, by Anders Michelsen and Ida Engholm, invites you to dive into the colourful, fun, and futuristic universe of Verner Panton.

Verner Panton is known as the enfant terrible of Danish design. Unlike his Danish colleagues during the 1950s and 60s who prioritised natural materials and manual craftsmanship, Panton ventured abroad to experiment with coloured plastic, fibreglass, steel, synthetic fabrics, and pioneering industrial mass-production methods.

This book examines Panton's almost scientific approach to environments, colours, systems, and patterns. These elements are unfolded in vibrant total interiors and imaginative product designs, which present Panton's oeuvre as a truly pioneering effort that points towards modern design and underscores the role of visual experience in a globalised society.
