Meet Harry. He is good at art, maths, science, and enjoys reading. But he struggles with things he finds difficult, like being in crowds, unexpected changes to plans, and reading people's expressions. Harry would love to have a girlfriend, but he doesn't know where to start.

Lucy likes being outdoors and running. She loves animals and knows lots of interesting facts about them. But she sometimes finds people confusing and hard to understand, and she is shy when she first meets them. How will she find a boyfriend if she doesn't know how to talk to people?

When Harry and Lucy each find one half of a dating guidebook at the library, they set about learning as much as they can about how and where to meet people, first dates, and what comes next. But to find out the whole story, what they really need is to find each other.
