Ariana Treasure: The Perfect Day
Aunt Grace is getting married. As her flower girl, Ariana is determined to make the day perfect. But despite trying to help, Ariana accidentally ruins the cake and the dress! It seems like the perfect day is lost. With the thriftshop on their side, can Ariana and her friends save the wedding in time?
Ariana Treasure: The Perfect Day by Jacqueline de Rose-Ahern follows Ariana Treasure as she eagerly participates in her aunt's wedding. As the flower girl, Ariana wants to ensure the day is nothing short of perfect. Using The Treasure Chest as their preparation hub, Ariana lends a hand wherever possible. However, disaster strikes when she accidentally drops the freshly made wedding cake, smearing blue icing all over her aunt's wedding dress. To make matters worse, it begins to rain, threatening the perfect day.
Thankfully, the thrift shop provides Ariana and her friends with a chance to find creative solutions, such as a beautiful box of second-hand saris. Despite the obstacles, Ariana wonders if Aunt Grace will still get her perfect day.
The Ariana Treasure early reader series always features problems to solve and fun to be had. With her quick thinking and thoughtful spirit, Ariana often saves the day. The stories explore themes of friendship, families, courage, diversity, and sustainability. With simple sentence structures, accessible vocabulary, familiar characters, and relatable storylines, the Ariana Treasure series is suitable for eager beginner readers.
Whether it involves making new friends, rescuing a kitchen disaster, or finding an act for the talent show, Ariana is ever ready to step up and help those in her community.
