About the Author

Don Kennedy is a resident of Makaha Valley on Oahu Island, Hawaii. He's a former longtime resident of Nevada: Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Reno. Over his lifetime, he's lived in thirteen cities in nine states. He's a member of the Hawaii Writer's Guild. Kennedy began writing as editor of his high school newspaper and sports writer for his local community newspaper. He's a three-time published author with the award winning non fiction/humor books, KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS TO SANTA CLAUS. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Kennedy worked as a staff assistant in Madison, Wisconsin to Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Martin J. Schreiber, Congressional Page in Washington D.C. to U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Clement J. Zablocki. He served a four year elected term as a member of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. He has been involved in numerous community and charitable organizations. He was a radio and television broadcaster and editor/publisher for more than a decade. For 35 years, he was a casino marketing executive with titles of Manager, Director, Vice President, corporate vice president, Chief Marketing Officer and Assistant General Manager for casino resorts in seven states. He's received many awards and honors in his careers. Kennedy has been an active member and officer for two decades for the NFL Alumni as an associate member. He's been a guest speaker/lecturer at numerous conventions, conferences, seminars, colleges and universities. He's a proud uncle to two nieces, a nephew, grandniece, grandnephew and has two brothers. Twice married, he has no children. Kennedy enjoys music,
reading, movies, sports, travel, family and friends. Don's nickname is "The Phantom," given to him by mentor and renowned casino marketing guru John Romero. Romero named him that as no one could keep track of him with his casino marketing career moving him around the country. Where he would land, nobody knew. Another new nickname, "Makaha," is revealed in volume three of his book series. Don's passion, though, for the past 28, going on 29 years, has been as a volunteer Santa Claus for all those who needed to be seen, heard and given some Christmas spirit. He believes in "giving back."
