Talon of the Silver Hawk by Raymond E. Feist transports readers into a breath-taking epic fantasy world where tradition and destiny collide in a dramatic and poignant tale. Among the Orosini tribe, young boys must endure a rigorous manhood ritual designed to connect them with the universe and reveal their revered manhood name. Kielianapuna, a boy on the brink of this significant transformation, must survive atop the remote and sacred mountain peak, Shatana Higo, awaiting a vision from the gods to seal his transformation.

After enduring four gruelling days and nights, battling the cold and solitude, Kieli experiences a disorientating moment when he awakens to the sensation of sharp claws piercing his skin. He encounters a rare silver hawk perched upon his arm - an event so surreal he questions its reality. Returning to his village, weary and still nameless, Kieli is thrust into a nightmare. He discovers his village engulfed in flames and his people mercilessly slaughtered. Driven by a combination of instinct and outrage, he plunges into battle, defying the odds, and emerges as the lone survivor of the Orosini massacre.

In the ruins of his home, a distant, ethereal voice calls to him, urging him to rise as a talon for his people. Thus, he is reborn. No longer is he Kielianapuna; he becomes Talon of the Silver Hawk, a man bound by duty and vengeance. The encounter with the silver hawk was his destined naming vision, marking the beginning of his arduous journey of retribution and self-discovery.

This powerful story is more than just a tale of revenge; it explores themes of identity, legacy, and resilience amidst devastating loss. Talon of the Silver Hawk initiates a grand new epic fantasy series from the master storyteller Raymond E. Feist, celebrating twenty years since the release of his seminal work, Magician.

The Conclave of Shadows series promises to enthral readers with its richly developed characters and intricate world-building. Featuring one of the most compelling protagonists in the genre and set against a backdrop of complex political dangers and mystical elements, this series is poised to join the pantheon of timeless fantasy classics.

Embark on this epic adventure and witness the transformation of a boy into a legend. Talon of the Silver Hawk is a testament to Feist's mastery of the fantasy genre, a journey filled with epic battles, powerful emotions, and an indomitable spirit that will captivate and inspire readers.
