Bound To Execute
Small-town secrets can be deadly... When bookshop owner Harvey Beckett and her dog discover a body, she learns that quiet St. Marin's hides deep, dark secrets. Can she solve the case before the killer silences her, too? Murder has come to St. Marin's... and Harvey's life just got a lot more complicated
The things Harvey Beckett doesn't know about her neighbours could get her killed.
In the perfect days of early May, bookshop owner Harvey Beckett is looking forward to evenings of walking Mayhem, reading before bed, and maybe even enjoying a snuggle with her favourite mechanic. But a meandering dog walk pushes pause on those plans when she and Mayhem stumble upon the body of the much-detested local bank manager.
Harvey and her friends discover that there's a lot going on behind the scenes in quiet St. Marin's, a lot that people are hiding.
Can Harvey help, or will her helping only end up creating more trouble for everyone around her?
Bound To Execute by ACF Bookens invites you to join Harvey as she navigates the complexities and hidden secrets of her seemingly tranquil town.

About the Author
ACF Bookens loves a good mystery, a quaint bookshop, and a good cup of coffee. She lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where she takes joy in the mountain views and the quiet back roads. She lives with her son and three rescue cats who are, of course, nocturnal. Aslan, the cat in her books, is based on her departed first cat by that name, who spent an inordinate amount of time digging up her houseplants.
In her books, Bookens addresses issues of justice and writes with intention to disrupt the white supremacy that says that "whiteness" is normal by making purposeful note of every character's ethnicity. She is weary of books that assume everyone is white unless the author says otherwise because being white is not the default of reality. Her hope is that readers enjoy escaping into her stories and are challenged, just a little, to make themselves better people and the world a better place from the reading.
