Gloves Off
The unflinching autobiography from the two-time world heavyweight champion and British People's Champion, Tyson Fury, now out in paperback, Gloves Off is an enthralling journey into the life of one of boxing's most charismatic and controversial figures. From his humble beginnings to his meteoric rise and dramatic falls, Fury’s story is a testament to the indomitable human spirit.
In this no-holds-barred autobiography, Tyson pulls no punches in his most candid, comprehensive, and entertaining book yet. For the first time, Fury chronicles his inspirational story in full – the rise, the fall, and the dramatic resurgence that saw him come back from the brink of suicide to reclaim his heavyweight crown. This access-all-areas narrative is filled with never-before-told stories, reflecting on what has truly defined him throughout his tumultuous career and personal life.
Fury offers a deep dive into his Travelling upbringing and discusses how it shaped his identity and values. He talks openly about his fighting family, including his father John and his half-brother Tommy, and the pivotal role they played in his life. His beloved wife Paris and their six beautiful children also feature prominently, highlighting the personal battles he faced alongside his professional ones.
Mental health is a significant theme in Gloves Off, as Fury bravely shares his own struggles with depression and the ways he fought to overcome them. His faith and spirituality are also explored, offering readers insight into the man behind the gloves. Boxing rivalries, such as those with Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte, are recounted with fascinating blow-by-blow accounts of his thrilling victories and the intense preparation that led up to them.
Tyson's story is not just about boxing; it's about resilience and redemption. One of the most touching parts of the book reveals the weeks leading up to the biggest fight of his career in 2021, when Tyson was sleeping on a hospital floor in intensive care, tending to his premature daughter Athena who was fighting for her life. This poignant glimpse into Tyson's life showcases the tender, devoted father behind the fierce fighter.
With raw intimacy and unfettered honesty, Gloves Off takes readers on a remarkable journey through triumphs and tribulations, providing an unforgettable insight into the life of Tyson Fury, a true champion both inside and outside the ring.

About the Author
During his storied 36-fight career, Tyson Fury has established himself as one of the best heavyweight fighters of all time. Born and raised in Manchester, Fury weighed just 1lb at birth after being born three months premature. His father John named him after Mike Tyson. From Irish Traveller heritage, the 'Gypsy King' first shocked the boxing world in 2015, when he stunned long-time champion Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles. Due to struggles with his mental health, Tyson did not fight again for more than two years. Most thought he was done with boxing forever, until an amazing comeback fight with Deontay Wilder in December 2018. It was an instant classic, ending in a split-decision tie. Tyson was victorious in the second fight against Deontay Wilder in February 2020, defeating his opponent by seventh-round technical knockout. In October 2021, Tyson concluded the trilogy with victory against Deontay Wilder by an emphatic eleventh-round technical knockout. In March 2022, Fury successfully defended his heavyweight crown at Wembley Stadium against Dillian Whyte, winning by knockout with a devastating uppercut in the sixth round. Outside of the ring, Tyson Fury is a mental health ambassador. He lives with his wife Paris and seven children in Morecambe, and most mornings can be found running and training along Morecambe Bay.
