Who We Are

We are not your typical bookseller.

Yes, we love books. But we also love technology and innovation. We are analytical. We care deeply about great in person customer service and running a beautiful bookstore. We obsess over systems that scale, data, fulfilment speed and the small details that most people never see.

We are united by one thing: wanting to do things differently and build something special.

Most of us probably do not fit in everywhere. But we fit in here.

Where We’re Based

Book Hero is based in Hobsonville, Auckland.

Our bookshop, warehouse and office all live together in one space. It is busy, fast moving and full of books.

We are building an online bookstore we are genuinely proud of.
One we shop at ourselves. One we are proud to send to our friends and family.

We sell books - a lot of them. And we are expanding into a growing range of book-adjacent products you can enjoy together, like puzzles, board games and toys.
