Sadahito Uyu is a conman who enjoys a mostly normal life. When he's arrested for running scams, he falls into the hands of former homicide detective Kiruma and Ryouko, an associate professor of folklore studies. It turns out Uyu isn't exactly normal after all, and they want to make good use of his ability to see the supernatural.

Through his eyes, it will become clear how the Divine Incursions Task Force was established, fell apart, and later became the Special Investigations Division.
